Real Estate Shoot Preparation

The Santucci Home

Prior to every shoot a lot of prep work needs to be completed. For personal shoots this includes a planning document that includes satellite images of the chosen location, marked take-off and landing points, camera vectors, possible altitudes, and possible camera settings that could be used based on the sky conditions and lighting of the day. By clicking here you can find an example of a planning document I made that highlights what a this would look like for a real estate shoot.

When planning for a paid shoot a planning document of the same characteristics would be created with the addition of a presentation (usually in the form of a Microsoft Office PowerPoint). Click here for an example to reference matching the planning document mentioned above. The purpose of the presentation is to create an open discussion with the client to allow questions and provide them the assurance that I informed myself of the project guidelines, made necessary arrangements for insurance, familiarized myself with the local airspace and FAA regulations for UAV operations, and included any other information or parameters that apply to the specific job. By holding this presentation time clients and myself are also able to communicate with visuals about the shots required, specific points of interest, and any possible concerns held by the client that I should be made aware of.

To view the deliverables for this project look at the other posts to view photo stills and panoramas. There you can learn about the post-planning process and what happens after myself and the client have completed all necessary work for the shoot to start.
